Awesome Artwork

Today we got to get a glimpse of what the summer learning journey is. The summer learning journey is a programme that happens over summer where we are given fun tasks to do that include reading, writing, maths and many more. Our task today was to colour in a photo. This was the one I created which I call "Two dudes selling watermelons"

What do you think of my painting?

The Digestive System

For the past few weeks we have been learning about information reports and how to write them. Last week we were allowed to choose what we wanted to write an information report on. Only problem was I didn't know what to write about! Luckily I had a solution, I asked my teacher to think of a random word, and out of the 270,000 words in the English dictionary she chose oesophagus. As oesophagus was a bit to brief, I chose to write about the digestive system. I did a lot of research and it was a lot of fun to write and I learnt heaps.

Did you know that the adults digestive system is up to 9 metres in adults!

Did you learn anything about the Digestive System?

Water care Flowchart

For inquiry we have been learning about the different stages of water care and how the water from lakes, dams, and rivers reaches our taps and what the different stages do and why they are important. We then had to make flow charts explaining what each stage does and the process. Did you know New Zealand is one of the few countries that can drink water straight from taps?

Do you know any of the stages of water care?
